A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of junk emails, but this problem can be solved using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward incoming messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty if you have a cloud web hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet astonishingly simple to use, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will see a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking on it again will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have a different mailbox with this feature activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated without difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small button handily situated right next to each one. With just a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the context menu that will appear. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
